Meredith's Musings: A Wide Spectrum of Color… | Tuscan Blue Design
It’s Spring Break! I am happily settled in Auburn for the week. My kiddos + husband are visiting cousins, aunts, and uncles in Mobile. So I have a few days to enjoy with my mom, dad, and sister. I woke up early one morning and with a warm cup of coffee in hand, spent a quiet hour looking through the paintings scattered through my parent’s home…my Father’s paintings. He started painting about 11 years ago…his Parkinson’s medication inspired intense creativity and out poured his life-long interest in art and design. The paintings are a comfort to see each time I come home…especially his subject matter – the family, the house, the pets, and inspiration from his travels.
Time to share some snapshots….he definitely understands the term ‘Be Brave not Beige’!
The Dining Room as art studio…I love seeing his paintings stored under a side table…
This painting makes me think of being a kid in a candy shop…so many choices!
One of my favorites…my sister reading in a coffee shop…
So many images to cherish…thanks Dad…
Please continue to share Design Sense and Sensibility with others.
Here’s to creating splendid spaces – Cheers!
