A Living Room for Music, Reading, and Entertaining

This project began with a room filled with natural light and simple architecture. Our client asked for a comfortable, casual, room using the vibrant colors of orange, red, and green. Other priorities for this space included comfortable places for playing a cello and reading.

"I'd never worked with professional interior designers before and had heard stories about how the finished product ended up reflecting the designers' tastes rather than the client's. My experience with Meredith and Laura couldn't have been more different. They listened to me carefully when I talked about the kinds of things I did in my living room and the kind of feeling I was looking for in a design—and they chose wonderful colors and furniture that seemed to really fit me. When I see my new living room with the sun coming in and the walls glowing, I feel so happy to have and be in such a lovely space.
