When our clients purchased a spacious, attractive home in Kensington, Maryland, they knew their very first project would be to revamp the kitchen. This blended family with busy teenagers loves to cook, but a dark and dated 1980s-era kitchen was standing in the way.
Our ultimate goal was to rework the layout of the long, narrow kitchen—removing a peninsula that cut the room in half and created an awkward functional flow. And we replaced the old blue laminate countertops, well-worn flooring, and white laminate cabinets with natural finishes that feel warm and inviting.
