The Tuscan Blue Approach
We've all seen the design shows on TV. Seems like a fresh coat of paint and some new curtains are all it takes. But creating a design solution that looks greatworks for youand reflects your own taste and style demands more than a bucket of paint and 30 minutes. It takes knowledge, experience, vision, and discipline to create a successful design solution. All of which combine to form the basis of The Tuscan Blue Approach to interior design:
Style-wise At Tuscan Blue Design, it is important to us that the space we are designing reveals the style of our clientrather than the other way around. Ultimately, 'style-wise' can be defined as the blend of the client's personality with our design expertise to create a uniquely personal space. For a commercial client, this means a design that reflects the desired business image of the firm.
Single Source As a 'single source' interior design firm, we offer you a full-service interior design package, which takes you from the initial design phase through construction and installation. Our comprehensive project management services include detailed budgets, timelines, and construction schedules. We work closely with licensed and bonded subcontractors, including carpenters, cabinet makers, general contractors, flooring/tile installers, drapery fabricators, etc. We also have accounts with leading fabric and furniture companies and direct access to exclusive showrooms at The Design Center in Washington DC.
Partnership Whether we're working on a complex renovation or a simple window treatment, it all comes down to listening to our clients and then executing a design that reflects the client's personality and needs.
Partnership with Builders/Architects: We will also work side-by-side with your builder or architect. It is critical to bring an interior designer in at the initial phases of a project to address space planning, flow, and interior architectural design (such as molding selections, custom built-ins, material selections, fixture selections, paint selections, and more). A team/partnership approach between an interior designer and a builder or architect gives you a complete and well-crafted design package right from the start.
Partnership with Clients: We welcome a partnership with a design-savvy client. We thoroughly enjoy working with a client who asks us to create a great design, but wants to do the product research and purchase items themselves. We bring our design experience and knowledge about essential factors like quality products and construction. And our clients get a little bit of interior design education along the way.
